Four generations ago, Samsung's Active line was more a device for clumsy people. A phone with Galaxy S appearance that could resist a little more, as long as you read the instructions correctly. The last two generations have been about telling the world that the accident does not have to be ugly, and this year model continues to drive that mentality.

The patterns of smartphone use are definitely a contradiction these days. Designers do everything possible to make a beautiful phone, and most people simply put it in a case to keep it that way. The look and feel vanished, and all at the expense of a case that mostly does nothing but protect the phone.

The Galaxy S7 Active follows a totally new mentality. It even falls into the category of a rugged phone, and after trying it for ten days, we really do not agree.
