Let's visit an interior market in the Philippines that has an entire floor devoted to repairing your favorite gadgets!

For someone curious I was trying to do a review of a power bank that can also charge laptops. The Powerbank did not have the right adapter for my laptop, so I did mine. But I relied stupidly on the cable marks without checking the polarity myself. So I ended up connecting the charger with inverted polarity and broke the laptop.

I took the laptop to the Greenhills Mall and, after diagnosing the damaged components, they checked some random motherboards and looked for the piece (s) to repair my laptop.

The cost of repair P1300 (25 USD, 19 GBP) seems a bit high considering the real cost of the component, but must take into account the years of experience they have, the time and cost of obtaining several random pieces and the what a need to make a living.
