For another year, the new iPhone looks a lot like the previous iPhone. In appearance, in functionality, in essence, the iPhone 7 is a device of old ideas, repackaging: water resistance, small comforts, even murder of the noble headset jack … none of that is really * new * for the world of smartphones. But Apple (as always) is less innovative than presenting existing technology in a new and interesting way.
