Samsung first unveiled plans to launch a new dual-screen smartphone earlier this year. Now, new reports suggest that the company has officially launched its expected flagship in China at an initial price of 20,000 yuan (approximately Rs 1.9 lakhs).
The dual-screen smartphone called W2017 has a 4.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC quad-core and will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The W2017 smartphone offers 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 256 GB using microSD.
On the front of the camera, the flip smartphone has a 12MP rear camera with f / 1.9 aperture and support for 4K video recording along with a 5MP front camera. Several reports also suggest that the smartphone comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner mounted on the back.
The smartphone comes with a 2300mAh battery and is the predecessor of Samsung's previous flagship, the W2016.
