It was the first time I returned to the Philippines after 17 years. At first I did not know exactly how to feel, but I ended up having a wonderful time knowing the country again and again and spending time with my relatives. I spent the first half of the trip in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, where my mother was born and raised, and the other half in Manila. I felt extremely grateful to know both places at a deeper level, and I felt very excited when I left each place. I will come back again to explore more and experience what this beautiful country has to offer!
This trip was completely unforeseen, so I could not do anything epic in just 2 weeks. It was mainly just an opportunity to overcome my fear of returning to Asia (I know … I was pathetic!) And to see a family I had not seen in almost two decades. Now I'm in love with Asia again, so I'll definitely be back soon!
I would like to thank those who have made my first trip back to the Philippines very special and memorable, especially my parents! I already miss my cousins! xoxo
I started this video when I had my stopover in Japan, so it was less than 5 hours from Manila. In those 5 hours that I was alone, I began to reflect on my past, and I wondered why it took me so long to return to Asia, but then I realized that everything you want always comes at the perfect time. 🙂
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK MY WONDERFUL BOYFRIEND FOR HELPING ME WITH THE EDITIONS, AND FOR PRESENTING ME IN THIS SONG THAT FIT SO PERFECTLY IN THIS VIDEO! YOU ARE A GENIUS, BABY! 🙂
I spent a few days in Tokyo, Japan, before going to Manila, and I had a great time there too! Visit my quick travel music video here:
