iPhone 7 leaks have kept people guessing about what features Apple’s forthcoming phone will or will not have, but something bigger has leaked: the release date for said phone. In an interview with NPR, singer Barbra Streisand, an unlikely Apple plug, may have provided the best clue to the highly anticipated release date.
Streisand dropped the information when NPR asked Siri, “Who’s the only female vocalist who’s had hit records for six straight decades?” The answer was Barbra Streisand, who herself noted that Siri pronounces her name incorrectly and that so she took care of it by calling Apple’s CEO.
“I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on September 30th,” Streisand said.
