Here’s how to use your smartphone or iPad / tablet and Google Chrome to identify some of your photos and images for family history and genealogy research. Google Chrome attempts to match the image you upload to other images on the web. This is great for distinct or well-known images, such as a location or perhaps an important person in your family tree. I’ll show you how to search a picture that is currently in your device’s camera roll, as well as straight from the free cloud service Dropbox. (This works on all devices such as iPhone, Android, iPad, tablets, Samsung Tab, Galaxy)
