The UAG Monarch is a great elegant case. And it's supposed to be hard. Elegant and resistant. It seems a strange combination but UAG makes it work. Visually, the highlighted feature of this case is the back. Many things are happening but it works.

The texture of the casing makes the iPhone easier to handle, especially in the larger versions 7 Plus or 6s Plus. There is a design aspect of which I am not very fanatical and the marketing of this case is quite bad. Aileron alert, 2 times the fall protection is not really 2 times. Or it is. Depending on how you interpret the marketing fuzz.

If you're looking for a similar case, check out X-Doria Defense Lux. It is as big as the Monarch but it has an aluminum bumper. Currently, The Monarch is at n. 3 of my list, so to know what is most important in this case, check my list of the top 10 on my website. The links are in section i or the description below.

At Mobile Reviews Eh!, We base everything we do in real use. Sometimes it means getting excited about breaking another iPhone to prove that the marketing fuzz is wrong. But sometimes the marketing fuzz shows us that we are wrong! More or less Then, in the next few minutes, I will talk about the design of the case, the functionality offered by your iPhone and the protection offered by your iPhone.

For the design, the Monarch is a bit thicker than the average but thinner iPhone case. All extravagant layers listed by UAG also increase the weight of the casing, since it is around 54 g, with an average box of around 39 g.

The Monarch has 5 layers of protection that include a frame of armor, leather, polycarbonate shear plate, allow metal fittings and impact resistant rubber. Now … one of these layers seems a bit useless to protect me. Can you guess which one? It is the metal alloy hardware. I do not think that will do much in terms of protection. In fact, metal alloy hardware is actually its own layer because it goes through the entire casing.

For me, it's like having a 7-layer dip where the seventh layer of dip is the bowl of potato chips?

The case will wear out well since the leather part will not make contact with a flat surface, even during falls. The texture of the box is incredible. The edges have a honeycomb design that improves grip. The back of the box has many protrusions and ridges for your fingers to rub.

In addition, UAG makes this suitcase compatible with the iPhone 6s Plus because they include a cut for the headphone jack. Which is great for iPhone 6 Plus users, but people with the iPhone 7 could be a bit annoying. It is not impossible to design a case that fits both without being as obvious as Mous does.

For functionality, I had no problem accessing the iPhone inside the case. The buttons are nice but you can see the iPhone through the buttons. The trimming of the camera is large enough so that it does not get in the way of the flash and you can use the lighting cable you want with the UAG Monarch. Before moving on to protection, I'll point out that I gave him the extra UAG Monarch points for his unique design. It is very attractive.

For protection, the UAG Monarch will provide your iPhone with great day-to-day protection from average dropping heights. What? Only average? Well, fall protection 2 times does not equal 2 times the fall height. This is equivalent to UAG dropping the case 52 times to 4 feet to achieve the MilSTd 810G drop rating instead of 26 times.

So, technically, UAG does not lie about 2x fall protection, it's just that I interpreted incorrectly. Silly consumer, this is your fault, not ours. Does that bother you? How does UAG present 2x fall protection? Does not it seem a bit suspicious? What do you think?

So, if you plan to do a 10-foot drop with Monarch, it's going to be fine protecting your iPhone for $ 1,000. From any height less than 4 feet
